Well,
Yesterday, I got to canvass in BOYS TOWN. It was amazing. I had an awesome day, and met at least one person who stuck out in my mind. His name was Richard. He told me that he came out, in Nebraska in 1966! What a hard state to come out in, right? At any rate, he told me about all the different marches that he has done also. He marched in Washington, for one of the first AIDS march. He was in the front row, and was one of the first GAY deligates during the Clinton Administration. We had a wonderful time chatting away. I made over quota, and they told me that I should canvass at PRIDE. I agreed, with hesitation. I have never been to pride before, and I made NO money at Andersonville, therefore I was a little afraid to canvass Pride. However, since I have been doing a LOT better, I am sure that this will be fun, and ill make lost of money.
The Bill! So, we have made lots of progress, but the fight is still not over. I found an article, however, that shows people are starting to sway. Check out this link! http://www.lgbtqnation.com/2011/06/nj-lawmaker-voting-against-marriage-equality-biggest-mistake-of-my-career/
Other than that folks, I have no current updates! Thanks for reading!!! Time for work. I'll see you all at PRIDE!!!
