Yesterday...

Hello readers!

Today's post is going to be a little bit short. I try to post at night, before bed. However, I have been SO tired lately, that I have been a little slackish...(Rock-star grammar reader, I know that this is not a word.) In any case, yesterday I did not make as much money as I would have liked. I was in a great spot though! We were outside of a jamba-Juice with a HUGE pride flag in the window. I stared, longingly in the window wishing somebody would buy me a juice. The manager waved me in, but I made the "money" signal at him, as if to say "Dude, I would, but I really don't have the dough." He signaled back, saying "I'll cut it in HALF" I was like, "DONE!" I told my field manager I would be right back. When I entered the store, the manager said "I can see that you are out there, working hard, in the rain. What would you like?" I hadn't been in one of those, in a really long time, so he walked me through creating the most DELICIOUS drink. AND he was nice. He gave me the largest size, for only 3$!! Have any of you SEEN those things? They are HUGE! I thanked him over and over, and said "It's people like you!..." He replied, "NO, it's people like YOU!"

This gave me a little spring in my step, which gave me the energy to keep on going for the day, since I hadn't made quota yet. It was down to the last five minutes, when I stopped a lady. I gave her my rap, and she was already pulling out her wallet. "What do  I do?" with a smile,  I pulled out the form. She gave me 10$/month! This put me at about 180$ for the day. NOT as much, as I would have liked to make for HRC, but it is a hell of a lot better than 90$, which is what I was at before.

ALSO, Today, June 24th, I heard about Obama giving a speech to the GLBT community. He was talking about wanting the law to change, in order to recognize same sex couples, in the same way as every body else. Tax wise, marriage wise, and laws in general! If the BIG man is with us, then we KNOW we can win this fight!

KEEP Praying, meditating, wishing, hopping...whatever it is that you do...DO THAT.
I will still be canvassing pride this weekend, on saturday, sooo EVERYbody send me good wishes of dollar signs, energy, and all that. I strongly believe in this cause. There is a lot more to this than just voting, and getting money. People are really going to have to learn to altar their way of thinking things. We all must be willing to accept change. ALL of us!
